Camper Tear Down
BEFORE YOU PULL OUT, MAKE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU ARE COMPLETELY UNPLUGGED FROM EVERYTHING!!!
Make sure all the trash cans are empty, all of your own belongings are out of the camper, and give the camper a quick sweep and wipedown of the countertops.
Make sure you have cleaned your dishes, completely empty out the fridge and freezer.
If there are any spills in the fridge or freezer, please wipe them down.
Turn OFF the water heater.
Dump and flush all the tanks.
Refer to the “Dumping” section
Lift up and put the TV on the bed.
Raise all leveling jacks.
Store leveling blocks.
Disconnect and store the water hose.
Turn OFF the gas supply (propane tank) at the front of the camper (outside).
Turn OFF the remaining appliances.
Turn OFF the water pump.
Make sure the bathroom roof vent is CLOSED.
Close the windows and secure blinds.
Secure free-standing equipment.
Make sure all kitchen utensils and K-cup machine are back under the sink in the cabinet.
Lock the fridge with its latch to secure it (flip the latch to the left).
Make sure to close the bathroom door before you put the slide out in.
Make sure all cabinet doors and drawers are completely closed.
Retract the awning.
Make sure there are no large objects on the slide out roof.
Remove slide out obstructions.
Close the slide out.
Turn the red lever (on the wall by the entrance of the camper) counterclockwise, to the off position. The lever may pop out but thats ok.
Put the steps up.
Lift the steps until the blue handle clicks into place.
Push the leg button down.
Now push the leg to make sure it clicks into place.
Close the camper door, and lock it.
Make sure to lift the handrail and push it back so that it is not sticking out.
Double check to make sure everything outside has been put away.
Disconnect and store the power cord.
Connect your tow vehicle (Towables).
Refer to the “Camper Hook Up” section to learn how to properly hook up the vehicle.
Remove the wheel chocks.
Close and lock the exterior baggage doors.
Verify the lights are functioning properly.
Check the campsite for items left behind.
