Camper hookup
Raise your stabilizers up (the four jacks that hold the camper).
Make sure your camper is jacked up in the front (risen) high enough that your truck ball can fit underneath the trailer coupler (where the ball rests).
You can do this by cranking the handle (clockwise) attached to the jack nearest the trailer coupler.
Start by backing up to the camper (straight in line, coming in at an angle will make it more difficult to attach the Blue Ox sway bars).
Align your truck ball to the trailer coupler.
You will want your truck ball to be perfectly under the coupler, where the ball and coupler connect.
Take your time with this. If you need to raise the camper more, do so.
It can take a few tries to do this, so don’t get discouraged!
Once aligned, remove the safety pin from the latch coupling (the lever on top of the trailer coupler).
Now pull the latch coupling up and away. It will sit on top of the ledge instead of resting perfectly in its place.
Lower the jack by cranking the same handle as before counterclockwise.
You want the coupler to rest nicely over top of the ball.
Pull the latch coupling back in its place.
If it won’t go back in, your truck ball is not aligned properly. It probably just needs some minor adjustments.
Put the safety pin back through the latch coupling.
Connect the round 7 pin plug from the camper to the back of your vehicle.
Raise the camper all the way up by cranking the jack back down.
Now it’s time to attach your sway bars (they are in the front camper compartment).
Connect one sway bar to one side of your truck hitch with the pin.
Connect the second sway bar to the other side of your truck hitch with the pin.
Count nine links down from the free end of your links on the sway bar.
Place the ninth link onto the blue ox connector.
Use the silver wrench to turn the blue ox connector counter clockwise until it clicks into place. (These instructions are the same for both sides.).
Lower the camper completely (your front jack should be all the way up so that it won’t scrape the road).
Hook up the two safety chains and the emergency brake cable to your vehicle.
Remove the block that was under your jack, and place it in the front camper compartment.
Remove the safety wheel blocks from both tires, and place them in the front camper compartment.
Check your lights (you can only do this when the camper is plugged into the vehicle).
Check the left turn signal.
Check the right turn signal.
Check the hazard lights.
Check brake lights.
Congratulations!!! You are ready to hit the road!
